Fayette County Public School STLP groups that are competing in the RCX or SumoBot competitions at the STEM Fair may elect to have a student-created display instead of a showcase. This unmanned robotics display would highlight your robotics program and help others to better understand the benefits of robotics. A robotics display cannot take the place of a showcase for a school who is not competing in RCX or SumoBots. A school competing at a location other than the STEM Fair is still required to have a showcase at the STEM Fair. Click category name for more information.
Students produce digital art using software to create works as a means of personal expression. Click category name for more information.
Students produce a digital product that does not meet the guidelines of one of the other categories listed on this page. Click category name for more information.

RCX is a state STLP event that requires schools to compete at a regional competition to qualify to compete at the state level. One of the regional competition sites offered this year is the Fayette County STEM Fair. This competition is open to schools outside Fayette County. Top teams per division may advance to the state competition. RCX Registration is on the RCX site, linked above, and due by January 31, 2017. Fayette County schools competiting in RCX may choose to have a Robotics Display in leau of a Showcase - but must have one or the other (see above).
SumoBot competition will be open to Fayette County teams. This competition will help teams prepare for the state competition but it is not a qualifying event. Registration is on the STLP SharePoint. Fayette County schools competiting in SumoBots may choose to have a Robotics Diplay (see above).
